Marcelo joined Speech and Debate in his sophomore year (2023). Marcelo originally joined Speech and Debate to learn how to present myself better and become a more confident person. In the end, he found that he actually loves arguing with people and finds researching things from multiple points of view to be one of the most valuable ways to understand the world. In Marcelo’s free time, he loves watching football (soccer), especially when it comes to Liverpool, and spending time with his family and friends.
