Next-Level Competition
A limited enrollment, highly competitive division, the National team offers the highest level of challenge in Academy Speech and Debate. Students on the National Team will compete at at least two travel tournaments, in addition to their active participation at the State level.
The National Traveling Team
If you’re looking for an opportunity to take your Speech and Debate experience to the next level, the National Traveling Team (NTT) represents the most challenging competitions in which Chargers compete. This year, students will travel to tournaments in Arizona, Massachusetts, Louisiana, and other locations. Placement in the National Traveling Team is open to any students grade 9-10 who are no longer novices and will compete in Original Oratory, Informative Speaking, Interp, Public Forum, or Lincoln-Douglas. This year, applications to the NTT are due at 5:00 PM on Friday, September 11th.
